Background
The first storyline, Hollow, ran through issues 1 to 6. Marcus Fenix trains a new recruit, Jayson "Jace" Stratton, while Delta Squad searches the Badlands for lost squads and finds Corporal Michael Barrick, the only survivor of Echo Six.
The Quickening followed with pencils by Simon Bisley and inks by Henry Flint. Issue 8 was the single story Harper's Story, and Sharp came back for the multi-issue arc Barren from issue 9.
A separate Gears of War: Sourcebook issue gathers art by many comic artists and includes One Day, an Ortega story about Dominic Santiago's inner struggle.
