Heldon
French electronic rock band blending synthesizers and guitar.
Heldon was a French electronic rock band active between 1974 and 1978, led by guitarist Richard Pinhas. The group's name was taken from Norman Spinrad's 1972 novel The Iron Dream. Their music blended electronic and rock forms, influenced by Robert Fripp and sometimes evoking his work with Brian Eno.

Discography of Richard Pinhas and Heldon
The discography begins with two 1972 singles by Schizo, the band Pinhas led before Heldon. Heldon's first album, Électronique Guerilla, appeared in 1974, followed by Allez Téia the same year. Third (It's Always Rock and Roll) came in 1975, alongside the single Soutien à la RAF. In 1976, Heldon released Agneta Nilsson and Un Rêve Sans Conséquence Spéciale, plus a single. Interface was issued in 1977, and Stand By in 1979. Richard Pinhas released solo albums including Rhizosphère (1977), Chronolyse (1978), Iceland (1979), East West (1980), L'Ethique (1982), and DWW (1992). Collaborative works include Cyborg Sally (1994) with John Livengood, Fossil Culture (1999) with Peter Frohmader, and Keio Line (2008) with Merzbow. Later Heldon releases include Only Chaos is Real (2001). The majority of these recordings were first pressed on CD by French label Spalax and American label Cuneiform Records, featuring numerous bonus tracks. Several titles have also been subsequently reissued by Bureau B.
