Background
Clara Cappagli and Armand Bultheel met at art school and started making music together in 2015, with their first releases on Cracki Records. Their debut EP, Cardan, came out in 2016. In 2018, they released their first album, The Dog and the Future, on Cracki Records with backing from Sony France; The Skinny reviewed it that September. The duo put out another EP, Nap, in 2020. Their second album, Player Non Player, arrived in 2023. Loud and Quiet reviewed it that January, calling them a Parisian synth-pop act. The five-year wait between albums was due to exhaustion from six years of touring and the COVID-19 lockdown. For Player Non Player, they worked with Jonathan Coryn on a related video-game project, which the Institut français presented as tied to the album. Their music has been described as electropop by Le Monde and synth-pop by Loud and Quiet, with The Skinny noting their electronic pop style. The duo consists of Cappagli on vocals and Bultheel on synthesizers.
