Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas is a 2011 animated television special and part of the Ice Age franchise. It was produced by Blue Sky Studios, directed by Karen Disher, and premiered on Fox in the United States on November 24, 2011.

Plot

Eight years after the third movie and seven years before the fourth, the holiday season arrives. Manny retrieves a block of granite known as the Christmas Rock from storage. This family heirloom is supposed to help Santa Claus locate them, and Manny plans it as a surprise for Peaches, who is busy sliding down a snowy hill while having a snowball fight with Crash and Eddie. Manny explains that this very rock is the same one he had as a child.

When Diego and Sid come over to look at the Christmas Rock, Manny stops Sid from getting close because he worries Sid might break it. Doubting that Santa could actually find the rock, Manny decides to pick a different decoration and chooses a tree. Crash and Eddie assist him in adorning the tree with small animals and fish bones to make it stand out more. But when Manny places a star-shaped piece of ice on top—ice that had gotten stuck to his rear—the star flies off and smashes into the Christmas Rock, shattering it.

Enraged that Sid destroyed his family treasure, Manny declares Sid is now on the "Naughty List" for this, though he later dismisses the idea of Santa to Ellie. Peaches overhears this and is stunned to learn her father does not believe in Santa. Angry at how Manny treated Sid, Peaches says he deserves to be on the Naughty List. As Sid cries about his bad luck, his tears freeze his feet, and he slides downhill.
