History
Asuka FC has progressed through the Japanese football league system, participating in regional leagues such as the Kansai Soccer League, which represents the fifth tier. In the 2024 season, the club won the Kansai Soccer League Division 1 title, earning promotion to the Japan Football League for the 2025 season. The club's origins trace back to three local teams in Kashihara: Kashihara FC (founded 1979), Shirakashi FC (1984), and Unebi FC (1993). These clubs competed in local leagues within Nara Prefecture. Porvenir Kashihara was established in 2003 from the merger of these three teams, and the Porvenir Kashihara Sports Club, a non-profit organization, was formed as the operating entity. That same year, the team won the Nara Football League Division 1 championship, qualifying for the Kansai Soccer League finals, but finished 4th in the B Block of the qualifying tournament, remaining in the Nara League. In 2006, the club placed 2nd in the Nara League Division 1 and advanced to the Kansai League Finals, finishing 3rd in the C Block of the qualifying tournament. In 2007, the team won the Nara League Division 1 again but finished 3rd in the D Block of the Kansai League Finals qualifying tournament. In 2010, the club achieved 2nd place in the Nara League Division 1, advanced to the Kansai League Finals, and finished second in Group D of the qualifying tournament, remaining in the Nara League. That year marked the team's first appearance in the All Japan Club Teams Football Tournament and its ambition to aim for J.League membership. In 2017, the team made its second appearance in the All Japan Club Teams Football Tournament, won the Nara Football League Division 1 for the second time, and triumphed in the Kansai League Finals, earning promotion to the Kansai Soccer League Division 2.
