In the land of Bayala, elves and dragons live in harmony until Ophira, queen of the shadow elves, steals the dragon eggs and abducts Princess Surah of the sun elves. Years later, Surah escapes the shadow realm with friends Jaro and Nuray, but her time there gives her shadow elf wings and magic. On the coronation of Crown Princess Eyela, a young elf named Marween discovers a hatching dragon egg, prompting a plan for a new Dragon's Feast requiring royalty from all elven tribes, including shadow elves. Surah and Jaro go to the shadow realm to retrieve Nuray, while Surah's twin sister Sera and Marween take the baby dragon Nugur to Dragon's Peak. Ophira attacks them with storm spells, but Surah learns from Magus Bilara not to view her shadow abilities as evil. The group splits, and Marween successfully reunites Nugur with his parents at Dragon's Peak. At Shadow Rock, Surah defeats Ophira with the magic of reunited dragons, turning her to stone.
