Aldrich Killian is a Marvel Cinematic Universe original character, not a Marvel Comics supervillain. A scientist at FuturePharm Corporation in Austin, Texas, he worked with Dr. Maya Hansen to create Extremis, a virus that rewrites human genetic code to grant enhanced abilities like superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes. Killian stole a sample of the virus and sold it to a terrorist group, using a man named Mallen as a test subject. Days later, he died by suicide at FuturePharm, leaving a note for Hansen that explained his theft but not his motive.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe film *Iron Man 3* (2013), Guy Pearce played Killian. This version ran the think tank A.I.M. and, after being rejected by Tony Stark years earlier, sought revenge by developing Extremis with Hansen and orchestrating terrorist attacks. Pepper Potts ultimately killed Killian by blowing him up.
In video games, Killian appears in *Iron Man 3: The Official Game*, where A.I.M. uploads his consciousness into MODOK after his death. The film version is also a boss and unlockable character in *Lego Marvel Super Heroes* and *Lego Marvel's Avengers*, voiced by Robin Atkin Downes and Greg Miller respectively.
