In Their Own Story

The rain slicked the pitch at De Kuip as the clock ticked past the hour mark. The crowd was a sea of red and white, roaring for every tackle, but Frank Rijkaard remained calm, his eyes scanning the field like a hawk. An opponent's winger drove forward, looking to exploit space behind the defense. In one fluid motion, Rijkaard intercepted the pass, his massive frame blocking the path before he could even think of dribbling. He didn't need to shout; his presence was enough. With a short, precise pass to the midfielder ahead, he turned defense into attack in seconds. The roar grew louder, not just for the play, but for the man who made it look effortless.
