Gáe Bolg

Gáe Bolg is the Noble Phantasm of Lancer, Cú Chulainn, in Fate/stay night. When activated it reverses cause and effect: the strike hitting the opponent's heart is decided before the spear is thrust, so it bends around obstacles and ignores magical and physical protection. The only way to survive it is enough luck for the spear to strike somewhere other than the heart. In the Unlimited Blade Works route he also throws it, using its full capability as a thrown weapon.
