Jeanne Alter, the Dragon Witch, is the first antagonist of the game, an Avenger-class Servant in the Orleans Singularity of 1431. She was summoned from the Holy Grail as the vengeful spirit Gilles de Rais imagined Jeanne d'Arc had become after her death.

Lore & Background
The opposite of the original Jeanne, she hates those who condemned her and is cruel and vengeful toward the people of France, while staying close to Gilles. Throughout the Singularity she poses as a Ruler to hide her true Avenger class. Her defeat does not erase her: her plan has already secured her existence as a Heroic Spirit, and she later appears in Shinjuku as an ally.
