Gameplay and story

The story is set in Iia, a world within the afterlife, shortly after the protagonist's death. Players interact with human and non-human characters to fight NPC-controlled monsters called mobs. Class systems are built using weapons, powers, and technology. The game lacks a cohesive backstory, relying on isolated quests; lore suggests a power struggle between human and non-human races over ruling the worlds. Terrain includes islands, caves, and labyrinths, with some zones housing high-risk, high-reward creatures. Certain worlds prevent player-versus-player interactions and do not allow looting other players' possessions. Earlier patches let players purchase or build houses to store or sell items, creating a self-sustaining marketplace.

Characters

Players encounter three races. Male humans excel in engineering and melee combat; female humans excel in crafting and magical arts; both have average stealth and damage absorption. Anthropomorphic amphibians provide advantages in evasion and stealth but have lower health and damage. Blobics are large, hulking mercenaries often antagonistic in the story; playing as one allows absorbing heavy damage at the cost of mobility and stealth.
