Plot
The Hero of Lumios awakens in their home on the neutral island of Telarion after a dream battle with the Archon of Fire. Telarion is a temperate, cultured haven for refugees, known for its festivities and an always-lit lighthouse. Each year, a grand festival commemorates the day the first inhabitants built the lighthouse and saw holy fire ignite within it. During the festival, the mage Gideon attacks the island with hell spawn. After defeating some creatures, the hero escapes with the aid of Don Diego on his griffin, beginning a journey to stop Gideon and prevent the Breaking.
Development
Bless Unleashed was announced in 2018. Closed beta tests occurred in April and July 2019, followed by an open beta in November 2019. A stress test beta reopened in January 2020. The Xbox One version launched on March 12, 2020, with early access via paid Founders Packs. The first major expansion, "Saurin's Deception", arrived on July 2, 2020. The PlayStation 4 version released on October 22, 2020, and the PC version on Steam on August 6, 2021.
