Diclonius
The horned mutant species at the heart of Elfen Lied.
The Diclonii are a newly mutated species in Elfen Lied, the manga by Lynn Okamoto. They look almost human; the only obvious difference is a pair of horn-like growths on the skull, and they often have unusual hair colour.
Lore & Background
Their power is a set of invisible arms called vectors that can grab and strike things as if solid, pass through objects, and slice, which is how Diclonii usually kill. The story follows the attempts of a research facility off Kamakura, its Special Assault Team and other Diclonii to recapture the escaped Diclonius Lucy.
