Reader's Guide
This event is central to Dragon Ball Super's narrative progression, marking Goku's transition into a higher state of being known as Ultra Instinct. Teams were formed from Universes 2 through 12, though only eight actively competed in the final stages. Each universe fielded ten warriors initially, but many fell quickly due to the harsh mechanics of elimination. The dynamics shifted constantly as alliances formed and broke, with Universe 7 relying on unlikely partners like Frieza and Android 17.
The Pride Troopers dominated early rounds thanks to Jiren's overwhelming strength, forcing Goku to unlock his full potential in a desperate final clash. Ultimately, the tournament highlighted themes of trust and sacrifice. Winning did not just save one world; it allowed the victors to wish for the restoration of all erased universes. This outcome emphasized the interconnectedness of the multiverse while setting the stage for future conflicts involving God-level power.
