Silencer

Nortrom, a mage whose gift is taking magic away.

Silencer is a ranged Intelligence hero in Dota 2. Arcane Curse damages and slows enemies over time, Glaives of Wisdom add intelligence-based damage to his attacks, and Last Word punishes a target for casting. His ultimate, Global Silence, silences every enemy hero on the map.

Background

The order of the Aeol Drias bred Nortrom over seven generations to be their greatest war-mage, but he showed no talent at all and was mocked for it. On the day of testing he silenced his fellow students one by one and beat them in combat, proving that the absence of magic can be its own power.
