Osiris

The architect of Destiny 2's first two expansions, leading Guardians into the Infinite Forest during Year One.

Osiris is a central figure in Destiny 2, introduced as part of the first year of downloadable content. He is the protagonist of the Curse of Osiris expansion, which launched in December 2017, followed by his continued involvement in the Warmind expansion released in May 2018. These two small expansions marked Year One of the game's eight-year extended content run. Reader's Guide

To experience Osiris's content in its original form, players engaged with Year One's two expansion packs. The first, Curse of Osiris, was released in December 2017, and the second, Warmind, followed in May 2018. Both were initially part of the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass. In October 2019, Bungie re-released the base game as New Light, making these expansions free-to-play for all users alongside the new Shadowkeep expansion. This change allowed players to access Osiris's missions and the new items introduced in those packages without purchasing previous expansions. Note that while Osiris was central to Year One, his specific campaign content from Curse of Osiris and Warmind was later removed from the live game during the implementation of the Destiny Content Vault in November 2020 with the release of Beyond Light.
