Failsafe

A former A.I. ally aiding the fight against the Choral Vex on Nessus.

She operates under the command of 'The Conductor,' who is revealed to be Maya Sundaresh. Lore & Background

Failsafe appears specifically during Episode: Echoes, which began on June 11, 2024, one week after The Final Shape launched. Her involvement is tied to the 'Echo of Command' that landed on Nessus, driving the Vex into erratic behavior. Unlike her past iterations potentially associated with other enemies or locations, this source material places her alongside Saint-14 and Osiris in a coordinated effort against a new enemy unit called the Choral Vex. The conflict centers on stopping 'The Conductor,' revealed to be Maya Sundaresh. This event is part of Year 7's unique structure, which abandoned the four-season model for three larger episodes, each divided into three acts that told the aftermath of the expansion.
