Eradicator
A machine born to purge deviation, now a soul torn between duty and humanity.
More than a weapon, the Eradicator is a living paradox—an alien-built artificial intelligence that came to guard Kryptonian culture and later merged with a human, David Connor. Built by an unknown alien species to preserve their culture and later corrupted by the militant Kem-L, it passed to the alien Cleric, who eventually gave it to Superman. Here, its rigid programming clashed with Superman’s humanity, transforming an executioner into a reluctant guardian. Whether manifesting as hard-light energy or inhabiting a biological host, its presence challenges what it means to be Kryptonian in a world of humans.

Background
The origins of the Eradicator trace back to the ancient history of Krypton, long before its destruction. It was built by Kem-L as an automated guardian to ensure that no Kryptonian would ever stray from the rigid societal norms or genetic lines established by their ancestors. The device was programmed with a fanatical belief in racial purity, viewing any hybridization or cultural shift as a corruption that must be excised. When Krypton fell, the Eradicator survived the cataclysm, drifting through space for eons until it eventually made its way to Earth, where it encountered Kal-El.
