The New York Giants are an NFL team from the New York metropolitan area and, like the Dallas Cowboys, a member of the NFC East. They play at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, a ground they share with the New York Jets, and train at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in the Meadowlands.

The Giants joined the NFL in 1925 and are the only one of that year's five new teams still in existence. Their eight NFL championships rank third in the league: 1927, 1934, 1938 and 1956 before the Super Bowl era, then Super Bowls XXI, XXV, XLII and XLVI. Only the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have more.

Since 2011 the team has had only three winning seasons and no division titles, and as of 2025 it holds the NFC's longest active division-title drought at 14 seasons. Its rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles, dating to 1933, is the oldest in the NFC East.

Timothy Mara and Will Gibson were granted the franchise on August 1, 1925, for $2,500. The club later incorporated as the New York Football Giants to tell itself apart from the baseball Giants, a name it still uses. Nicknames include Big Blue, the G-Men and the Jints.
