Biography

After signing with Epic Records in 1999, the R&B duo started working on their first album. That same year, they were featured on Cam'Ron's single "Freak." In June 2000, they released their first single, "No More," which became a major success, reaching number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the R&B charts. Their debut album, Love Crimes, came out on August 22, 2000, and peaked at number 52 on the Billboard 200 and number 19 on the R&B albums chart. A second single, "Where Does Love Go from Here," was released but did not make the charts. After that, they went on tour and began working on their second album.

In 2001, they put out the first single from their sophomore album, "Cash, Money, Cars, Clothes," which featured Memphis Bleek. It saw moderate success, peaking at number 69 on Billboard's R&B chart. The next single, the title track "Someone To Love You," came out the following year and became another crossover hit, reaching number 49 on the Hot 100 and number 12 on the R&B chart. Their second album, also called Someone To Love You, was released on May 14, 2002, and debuted at number 27 on the Billboard 200 and number 8 on the R&B Albums chart.

After some issues with their label, the duo decided to take a break in 2003. That year, a compilation album titled Greatest Hits was released as their final project under Epic Records. They were also featured on Ghostface Killah's track "Love Session."

In 2006, David Chance started working on new solo projects, including Unplugged ...My Life, My Story, which was planned for winter 2007, and a follow-up called Unconditional Love, both released only digitally. Chance began making what he describes as "inspirational soul music," or gospel, with two new groups signed to his own label, CMG Music LLC.

Though the duo was no longer recording together, they released a previously unheard album called The Final Chapter for their fans on iTunes on August 9, 2010, and physically on November 23, 2010. The next year, they put out The International Official Final Chapter Mixtape with DJ Mad Dogg, which included six songs not on the third album and was hosted by both members.
