Plot

The first act begins shortly after Firestorm, with Kane entering an underground bunker healed except for his face mask. He orders LEGION to incite the Rio Insurrection, then plans to reunite Nod splinter factions. Unable to reveal himself, he uses Brother Marcion, who had Anton Slavik assassinated, as a proxy. The player destroys Marcion's Australian stronghold and captures him; Kane reveals his scar-free face and orders destruction of a liquid Tiberium facility in the Australian Outback, causing massive fallout.

Kane deactivates LEGION and builds Nod into a superpower. In the second act, set before and during Tiberium Wars, Kane plans the destruction of the Philadelphia by stealing Ion Cannon network plans, predicting Redmond Boyle will become GDI Director. He captures Dr. Alphonse Giraud. Abbess Alexa Kovacs, suspecting General Kilian Qatar of treason, attacks Temple Prime in Qatar's guise and leaks Ion Disruptor technology, leading to Qatar's execution.

Kovacs fears LEGION, as its technology is based on CABAL, which murdered her family with cyborgs. After the Tacitus is secured, she infects LEGION's core with a virus.
