Story
Akito is the only survivor of Operation Marva. He meets Lieutenant Colonel Leila Malcal at a party, and together they stop a terrorist attack by three Japanese soldiers.
Making and reception
Sunrise wanted a new Code Geass work and gave Akane the director's chair despite his inexperience with the franchise; he cited the Roman Empire and the 2011 earthquake as influences on its darker tone. It sold well, and critics singled out how Akito and Leila grow while bonding in wartime. Funimation released it in North America.
