Background

It arrived on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 27, 2020, with the Switch version reaching Europe on November 24 and a Windows release following on January 5, 2021. Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Jacob Bertrand and Gianni DeCenzo voice Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, Hawk and Demetri, while the rest of the characters are voiced by different actors.

The story opens with Hawk and Demetri in the principal's office after chaos has swept the valley, each told to make his story make sense from the beginning or be suspended. Hawk's story starts at the Mini-Golf & Arcade, where Miguel gets a note he thinks is from Sam but walks into a gang of thugs instead. Johnny and Miguel conclude that Daniel is trying to get revenge for his trauma in high school. They follow the trail through Smitty's Diner, the mall, a falsified tournament invitation and Johnny's stepfather Sid at Weinberg TV Studios before heading to the Valley Fest, where they defeat Daniel.

A sequel, Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising, also by Flux Games and GameMill, came out on November 8, 2022 for Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows and the Xbox One and Series X/S.
