Club Olimpia is a Paraguayan professional sports club based in Asunción, founded in 1902. It is the oldest football team in Paraguay and has won a record 48 Primera División titles, including six consecutive championships. Internationally, Olimpia has won three Copa Libertadores, two Recopa Sudamericanas, one Intercontinental Cup, one Copa Interamericana, and one Supercopa Sudamericana.

Lore & Background
Olimpia was founded on July 25, 1902, by Dutchman William Paats and several Paraguayans. The club's name was chosen by Paats in honor of the Greek city of Olympia. Olimpia achieved the 'quadruple' in 1979, winning the Paraguayan championship, Copa Libertadores, Copa Interamericana, and Intercontinental Cup. The club has never been relegated.
Reader's Guide
Olimpia played home games at Estadio Osvaldo Domínguez Dibb before its demolition, then moved to Estadio Defensores del Chaco. The club's original kit was a black shirt with 'Olimpia' in white across the chest and white shorts. Later, white and black were adopted with a white shirt and horizontal black stripe.
