Seed of Chucky (2004)
Chucky and Tiffany's doll child brings its parents back.
Seed of Chucky is a 2004 black comedy slasher film written and directed by series creator Don Mancini, his first film as director. A sequel to Bride of Chucky (1998) and the fifth Child's Play film, it stars Jennifer Tilly, Redman, Hannah Spearritt, John Waters, Billy Boyd and Brad Dourif. Six years after the previous film, Glen/Glenda, the doll child of Chucky and Tiffany, resurrects its parents and chaos follows. Shot in Romania, it carries the series further from straight horror into horror-comedy, and it was the last film of the original continuity to open in cinemas. Focus Features released it under its Rogue Pictures label on November 12, 2004; it grossed $25 million worldwide and drew mixed reviews. Curse of Chucky followed in 2013.
