In Australia, the single spent five weeks at number one on the Kent Music Report and earned platinum certification for sales over 100,000 copies. Music video
The music video was the first directed by Steve Barron. It shows the group entering a discothèque with a giant jukebox; band members unplug it to accompany the line "Unplug the jukebox and do us all a favor." The disco patrons initially stand transfixed but gradually begin dancing to the song. Amanda Donohoe, then Adam Ant's girlfriend, makes her acting debut in the video.
