Season 30 of the long-running detective anime series.
The thirtieth season of *Case Closed* was helmed by directors Yasuichirō Yamamoto and Nobuharu Kamanaka, the latter taking over from episode 975. TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation produced the season, which adapts Gosho Aoyama’s manga. The story centers on teenage sleuth Shinichi Kudo, who, after being shrunk by the poison APTX 4869, continues solving crimes under the alias Conan Edogawa. In Japan, the series is called *Meitantei Conan*, but the English title was changed due to legal issues.
Seven theme songs were used: three openings and four endings. The first opening, “ANSWER” by Only this time, ran until episode 964, paired with the ending “Sissy Sky” by Airi Miyakawa. The second opening, “Makka na Lip” by WANDS, covered episodes 965–982, while the ending “Sukoshi Zutsu Sukoshi Zutsu” by SARD UNDERGROUND played for episodes 965–976. The third opening, “JUST BELIEVE YOU” by all at once, aired from episode 983 to 999, alongside the ending “Hoshiai” by the same group for episodes 977–992. The final ending, “Reboot” by Airi Miyakawa, closed episodes 993–999.
The season originally aired on Nippon Television Network System in Japan from November 23, 2019, to February 27, 2021. Shogakukan later released it in ten DVD compilations between February 23 and November 23, 2022. Crunchyroll began simulcasting the series from episode 754 in October 2014. In February 2023, episodes starting at 965 appeared on Tubi with an English dub—the first English dub of the main series since 2010.
