Season 28 of the long-running detective anime.

Case Closed season 29

The twenty-eighth season of the *Case Closed* anime, directed by Kōjin Ochi, was produced by TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation. Adapted from Gosho Aoyama's manga, the story follows teenage detective Shinichi Kudo, who is transformed into a child by the poison APTX 4869 and operates under the alias Conan Edogawa. In Japan, the series is known as *Meitantei Conan* (lit. "Great Detective Conan"), but the title was changed internationally due to legal issues.

The season uses four theme songs: two openings and two endings. The first opening, "Barairo no Jinsei" (lit. "Rose-colored Life") by Mai Kuraki, plays from episodes 927 to 940. The first ending, "Kimi to Koi no Mama de Owarenai Itsumo Yume no Mama ja Irarenai" (lit. "My Love with You as it is Can Never End but I Do Not Want it to Always Remain as a Dream") also by Mai Kuraki, runs from episodes 928 to 951. The second opening, "ANSWER" by Only this time, begins with episode 941 and continues into season 30 through episode 964. The second ending, "Sissy Sky" by Airi Miyakawa, starts at episode 952 and also extends to episode 964 in season 30.

The season aired on Nippon Television Network System in Japan from January 5, 2019, to December 7, 2019. It was later released in eight DVD compilations by Shogakukan between February 26, 2021, and September 24, 2021. Crunchyroll began simulcasting the series starting with episode 754 in October 2014.
