The twenty-sixth season of *Case Closed* was helmed by director Yasuichiro Yamamoto, with production handled by TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation. It adapts the manga by Gosho Aoyama. In Japan, the show is called *Detective Conan* (名探偵コナン, *Meitantei Conan*), but the English title was altered because of legal conflicts over the name. The story follows Conan Edogawa through his routine exploits. Five theme songs appear across the season: two opening tracks and three closing ones. B'z performed the first opener, "Sekai wa Anata no Iro ni Naru," which played up to episode 844 and also featured in film 20, *The Darkest Nightmare*. Starting at episode 845, Breakerz took over with "Ikusen no Meikyuu de Ikusen no Nazo wo Toite." For the endings, Takuto's "Futari no Byōshin" ran until episode 826. Mai Kuraki then provided "SAWAGE☆LIFE" from episode 827 through 842, followed by her track "YESTERDAY LOVE" from episode 843 onward. The season originally broadcast on Japan's Nippon Television Network System from May 21, 2016, to April 22, 2017. Shogakukan later compiled the episodes into ten DVD sets, released between January 26, 2019, and November 23, 2019, in Japan. Crunchyroll began streaming the series simultaneously with its Japanese broadcast in October 2014, starting from episode 754.
