The nineteenth season of Case Closed was directed by Kōjin Ochi and produced by TMS Entertainment and Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation. It is based on Gosho Aoyama's manga, which in Japan is titled Detective Conan but was changed for international release due to legal issues. The series follows Shinichi Kudo, a teenage detective transformed into a child by the poison APTX 4869, who continues solving cases under the alias Conan Edogawa.

Reader's Guide

The season used six pieces of theme music: three opening themes and three ending themes. The first opening theme, 'As the Dew' by Garnet Crow, played until episode 582. 'Summer Time Gone' by Mai Kuraki began with episode 583, and 'tear drops' by Caos Caos Caos started on episode 602. The ending theme 'Hello Mr. My Yesterday' by Hundred Percent Free was used for episodes 565 to 587. 'Tomorrow is the Last Time' by Mai Kuraki served as the ending from episode 588 to 601, and 'Jûgoya Kuraishisu (Kimi ni Aitai)' by Hundred Percent Free was used for the remainder of the season. The season was later collected and released in ten DVD compilations by Shogakukan between January 28, 2011 and October 28, 2011, in Japan.
