Kris Versteeg

Kris Versteeg is a Canadian entrepreneur and former professional ice hockey winger who played for several NHL teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes. He is notable as a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Chicago Blackhawks, winning in 2010 and 2015.
Born on May 13, 1986, Versteeg was selected 134th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2004 NHL entry draft. He spent parts of two seasons with Boston’s AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, before being traded to the Blackhawks. He continued in the AHL with Chicago’s affiliates until making his NHL debut in the 2007–08 season. The following year, he was nominated for the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s top rookie. In his second full season with Chicago, he helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2010.
After that championship, Versteeg played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, and Florida Panthers before being traded back to Chicago during the 2013–14 season. He won his second Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2015. Over his career, he also played for the Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames, Avangard Omsk, Växjö Lakers, and Nitra.
