Production
Eighteen-year-old Willow (James Tarpey) is trying to move on after his girlfriend Jasmine (BAFTA winner Georgina Campbell) dumps him. He crosses paths with Lauren (Jaime Winstone), who, along with her friend Ollie (Rob Kendrick), runs a late-night radio show from her boat. They spin tracks by lesser-known artists alongside bands like The Smiths, Tom Waits, and The Pixies, and the show’s music sets the tone for the sitcom. Willow’s parents (Susan Cookson and Ardal O’Hanlon) are skeptical at first, but Lauren and Ollie’s lively personalities eventually win them over.
This series marks the first TV roles for James Tarpey, Fergus van Gelder, and Laura Woodward, and it brings together John Thomson and Craig Cash, who had previously worked in the 1990s. Cameo appearances include Caroline Aherne, Hollie-Jay Bowes, and Jaz Martin. Viewers in the UK can watch it on Now TV, while those in the US and Australia can find it on Amazon Prime.
