Fourways Farm is a British science-themed children's television series produced by Case Television and Dutch Education Television from the Netherlands. It aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom during Channel 4 Schools between 1993 and 1996 and was regularly repeated until approximately 2007. A Welsh version titled Fferm Bryn Gwynt was broadcast on the S4C Ysgolion strand from 1994 to 1997.

Plot

At Fourways Farm, nine talking animals, all with the voice of Martin Jarvis, live together. Each episode features one or more of these anthropomorphized creatures accidentally making an interesting scientific discovery. As they settle down for the night, they work out a logical reason for what happened. Three mischievous rats named Uno, Duo, and Trio frequently try to steal food, but they sometimes set aside their tricks to help when trouble occurs.

Characters

Davenport is an optimistic Border Collie who speaks in an excitable, posh voice. Martha is a mellow cow with a West Country accent who mulls over situations. Godfrey is a pessimistic shire horse with a Yorkshire accent who prides himself on his talents. Ginger is a lazy tabby cat who speaks with a posh Edinburgh accent. Dudley is a gluttonous pig with a West Country accent who waddles like a penguin and enjoys turnips. Brenda is a bossy duck with a loud Scottish accent who stays near her pond. Uno, a quick-witted male brown rat who wears sunglasses, leads the Rat Pack and schemes in a cockney accent. Duo is a dim-witted male rat with two buck teeth and a deep voice. Trio is a hyperactive female rat with a high-pitched voice. Voltaire, a gentle weathercock who narrates, speaks in Received Pronunciation and is often seen on the farm's archway.
