Club career

Wiseman, a Hull native, joined Hull City at age six and progressed through the youth system under Billy Russell. He made his senior debut in a 1–1 draw with Kidderminster Harriers during the 2003–04 season and appeared again in a 3–2 loss to Northampton Town on 10 April 2004. In 2004–05 he made only four appearances for Hull and was loaned to Boston United on 18 February 2005, debuting the next day in a 1–1 draw against Bristol Rovers and playing once more against Northampton Town on 26 February 2005 before returning.

He featured more often for Hull in 2005–06, then spent the first half of 2006–07 on loan at Rotherham United, debuting as a substitute in a 1–0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion and scoring his first senior goal against Leyton Orient on 23 September 2006. After 18 appearances for Rotherham, his loan ended in February 2007. On 9 March 2007 he joined Darlington on loan until season's end, debuting the next day in a 0–0 draw with Rochdale and making ten appearances.

He signed permanently with Darlington on 24 May 2007, but an achilles injury delayed his start. After two unused substitute appearances in October 2007, another injury kept him out for the rest of the year. He returned on 1 January 2008 as a substitute in a 1–1 draw against Rochdale. Wiseman played both legs of the play-off semi-final against Rochdale; Darlington won the first, lost the second, and were eliminated 5–4 on penalties, with Wiseman playing the full 90 minutes in both matches. He was among six players released afterward.

International career

Wiseman represented England at Under-20 level in the 2005 Toulon Tournament under manager Peter Taylor. He was first called up by Gibraltar on 19 November 2013 after qualifying through his mother, and debuted that day in Gibraltar's first UEFA match, a 0–0 draw with Slovakia. On 6 September 2016, in a World Cup qualifier against Greece, he assisted Liam Walker for Gibraltar's first ever World Cup qualifying goal to equalise 1–1, but then scored an own goal in the 44th minute; Greece added two quick goals before halftime and won 4–1.

Coaching career

In March 2023 Wiseman paused his international playing career to manage the Gibraltar under-16 team at a UEFA Development Tournament in Bulgaria. He became head coach of the women's national team and the U19 women's team later in 2023, and in 2024 coached the men's U17 and U19 sides. In March 2025 he was appointed interim coach of the men's national team after Julio César Ribas left, while remaining women's team coach. He was kept on as men's head coach until March 2026 and left the women's role in June 2025 after their inaugural UEFA Women's Nations League campaign.
