Overview
The single's lead song, "Wired Life," was created by Nao'ymt, who both wrote and produced it. Its lyrics explore an individual's internal struggle with a complicated existence. Meisa Kuroki stated that the track allowed her to present a creative side beyond her usual dance performances. This song became the closing theme for the TBS anime Blue Exorcist.
A producer for the show remarked that Kuroki's strength and appeal mirror those of the main character, Rin Okumura, and expressed gratitude that the music captured the series' essence. Originally promoted as an A-side, "Upgrade U!" was later moved to B-side status; it was penned by Kaoru Kami, with composition and production by Jeff Miyahara. Both the standard CD and the limited CD+DVD versions feature a remix of "One More Drama." The Blue Exorcist edition includes a TV-length version of the title track, plus a remix that incorporates vocals from Nobuhiko Okamoto, the voice actor for Rin Okumura.
