Kevin Levin is a complex figure within the Ben 10 saga, evolving from an antagonist into a trusted hero. He is introduced in the original series as an 11-year-old runaway living in the New York City subway, where he meets Ben and uses him to siphon the Omnitrix's energy. Absorbing the DNA of Ben's aliens turned him into an unstable hybrid of those forms, and he returned to his original form after being trapped in the Null Void. His redemption arc begins in Alien Force, where he sheds his rogue status to join forces with Ben and Gwen Tennyson. In Alien Force he and Gwen develop mutual romantic feelings, and in Omniverse he leaves Bellwood to be closer to her when she goes to college. His journey represents growth from selfish ambition to selfless protection of Earth.
