Bishop, a tall forward, was featured as a basketball star on myFiba in 2008. Her rookie WNBA season came in 2010 with the Seattle Storm, where she appeared in 16 games, averaging 6.8 minutes, 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Most of her playing time occurred late in the season when head coach Brian Agler rested the starters. Although the Storm won the 2010 WNBA championship, Bishop did not play in any postseason games because she sustained a concussion during practice before the playoffs.
She sat out the 2011 WNBA season to focus on making the 2012 Australian Olympic squad, stating: 'I've decided to stay in Australia and focus on London. I know it's a year away, maybe over a year away now. But for me, it's about staying here and showing myself to the coaches where if I'm going back to America, it's going to be a little bit harder, not playing. So solely my focus is making that London team.'
Bishop returned to the Storm for the 2015 season, playing 26 games with 14 starts and averaging 19.6 minutes, 5.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, then played a third season with them in 2016, appearing in 13 games. In the WNBL, Bishop began with a scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport and played for the AIS team in 2005–06. She then played for the Canberra Capitals from 2006–07 through 2009–10. During the 2008–09 season, she scored 20 points in a January 2009 win over the AIS, 27 points in another January 2009 win over the AIS, and 15 points in a January 2009 win over the Logan Thunder.
She moved to the Dandenong Rangers for 2010–11 and then to the Adelaide Lightning for 2011–12, where she averaged 16.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. In an October 2011 game against the AIS, she scored 21 points in a 97–47 win. Bishop later played for the Capitals again from 2013 to 2016, winning the WNBL Most Valuable Player Award in 2014–15. She returned to the Lightning for 2017–18, played for the Townsville Fire in 2019–20, and finished with the Southside Flyers in 2021–22 and 2022–23.
On 31 December 2024, Bishop announced her retirement after a 19-year career, but on 10 January 2025 she came out of retirement and signed with the Canberra Capitals as a short-term injury replacement, then retired again on 15 February 2025.
