Below him, the city sprawled in geometric perfection, a maze of stone and steel where every citizen seemed to know exactly what they were supposed to do. He wasn't supposed to be here; he was an Avatar on the run, not a delivery boy for a paranoid king. As the chute slowed, he prepared to step out into the bustling market square, hoping his disguise held long enough to find the man who could teach him to move like stone.

Reader's Guide

The journey begins with Team Avatar emerging from the desert, exhausted and desperate for supplies. They discover Omashu's defenses are too strong for a direct approach, forcing them to adopt a plan involving Aang infiltrating the city disguised as a mailman while Katara and Sokka wait outside. Once inside, Aang navigates the complex postal system, using his agility to slide through chutes and deliver packages. He eventually reaches the throne room, where he meets King Bumi.
