History

H&R began in 1980 when Werner Heine and Heinrich Remmen started a family business focused on aftermarket suspension for lowering road cars. The company designed and manufactured springs that lowered vehicles while improving performance, handling, and appearance. H&R was the first manufacturer to present a lowering spring to the Technischer Überwachungsverein for certification, a move that helped establish the aftermarket spring industry in Europe. By earning TÜV certification, which it still holds, the company proved that aftermarket lowering springs were viable in Germany, creating a new market across Germany and Europe. In 1993, H&R also obtained Allgemeine Betriebs Erlaubnis (ABE) certification. From the start, all H&R products have been designed and made entirely in Germany. The company aims to exceed ISO quality assurance standards in its production.

Company

Today, H&R offers a wide range of suspension components, including various spring lines, cup kits, coilovers, electronic lowering modules, adjustable lowering springs, race springs, sport sway bars, and accessories. It also runs the industry’s largest program for wheel spacers and adapters. The company manufactures more than 48,500 products covering over 4,000 vehicle models from more than 60 brands. H&R has official partnerships with automakers like Volkswagen and Ford, building custom demo cars for events such as the Essen Motor Show and SEMA Show. Additionally, H&R supplies original equipment parts, including the springs for every Volkswagen Golf R32 model.
