Plot

Vicki Maloney, a teenager struggling with her parents' recent separation, spends the weekend at her mother's house. After a heated argument, she sneaks out to a party and is lured into the car of John and Evelyn White. Held captive at their house, Vicki is subjected to violence and domination. Realizing escape is impossible, she tries to drive a wedge between the couple by exploiting Evelyn's desire to see her absent children, but John's hold over Evelyn is too strong, and her efforts only fuel Evelyn's will to see her die. Vicki's mother Maggie enlists the help of her estranged husband Trevor and Vicki's boyfriend Jason. When Maggie's search leads her to John and Evelyn's street, she calls out for her daughter. Hearing her, Vicki forces Evelyn to realize she must break free from John to see her children again. As John attempts to strangle Vicki, Evelyn stabs him to death. Vicki escapes past the knife-wielding Evelyn, and Maggie sees the bloodied Vicki in her rear-view mirror, reuniting with her daughter.
