Fundraising
Nedd Brockmann first made headlines in October 2022 by running 3,952 kilometres from Cottesloe Beach in Perth to Bondi Beach in Sydney over 47 days, raising A$2.6 million for homelessness. A documentary about that run, titled Nedd Brockmann: Runn, came out in July 2024. Two years later, in October 2024, he attempted to break the world record set by Greek ultra runner Yiannis Kourous in 1988, completing a 1,000-mile (1,600-kilometre) run in 12 days, 13 hours, 16 minutes, and 45 seconds. That effort, which involved 3,760 laps of Sydney Olympic Park, raised A$3 million for a homelessness charity. In September 2024, he launched a chocolate milk brand called Nedd's Milk, aiming to raise $10 million for the homelessness charity We Are Mobilise. The business shut down in May 2026, with Brockmann explaining that the dairy industry was too competitive to sustain.
Publications and speaking engagements
Brockmann has released two books and regularly speaks about the urgent crisis of homelessness through his running and fundraising missions. His first book, Showing Up: Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable, was published in October 2023 and tells the story of a 23-year-old tradie who pushed his body to extremes. A second book, Fire Up: Live Large, Do Tough Stuff and Give Back, was released in 2024, sharing lessons from his first twenty-five years.
