1960–61 Ligue 1 Title

AS Monaco won the 1960-61 French Division 1 title with 57 points. It came in the era of coach Lucien Leduc, who had given the club its first professional trophy with the 1960 Coupe de France, a 4-2 extra-time win over Saint-Etienne, and who led Monaco to three league titles in all, including the club's first League and Cup Double in 1963. The championship also earned Monaco its first entry into European competition, the European Cup.
