Ivan Prosvetov is a Russian professional ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round, 114th overall, in the 2018 NHL entry draft.
Prosvetov moved to North America and spent the 2016–17 season with the Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He played 44 games that season, posting a 21–15–4 record with a 2.52 goals against average and a .928 save percentage, and took part in the 2017 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. The following year, he joined the Youngstown Phantoms of the United States Hockey League (USHL). In 36 regular-season games, he had a 2.90 goals against average and a .913 save percentage, earning a spot in the 2018 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. He was also named USHL Goaltender of the Week on February 19 after stopping 61 shots over two games. In the playoffs, he improved to a 2.58 goals against average and a .921 save percentage, going 7–3–0 in 11 games to help the Phantoms reach the 2018 Clark Cup Final.
Before the 2018 draft, NHL Central Scouting ranked Prosvetov 14th among North American goaltenders. After being drafted by the Coyotes, he attended their development camp and was then selected 15th overall by the Saginaw Spirit in the 2018 CHL Import Draft. He signed a standard player agreement with the Spirit for the 2018–19 season. By January, he had a 20–6–1–0 record with a 3.07 goals against average and a .902 save percentage. He finished the regular season with a 2.94 goals against average and a .910 save percentage, helping the Spirit win their second division title. During this run, a postgame celebration where he somersaulted to center ice and cartwheeled in the crease went viral. In the playoffs, he went 8–2–0 through the first two rounds as the Spirit reached the Western Conference final. During that series against the Guelph Storm, he was suspended for five games after batting a puck into the spectator area during a stoppage. On July 1, 2019, Prosvetov signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Coyotes. After training camp, he was assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, for the 2019–20 season.
