Moreno began archery at age six. He debuted at the 2013 Palarong Pambansa in Dumaguete, winning five gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in China, he served as the Philippines' flag bearer and partnered with Li Jiaman of China to win gold in the mixed international team event. He later competed at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur, where he joined Florante Matan and Mark Javier to secure a bronze medal in the men's recurve team event against Vietnam.
