Lamput is a gooey, orange escapee from a lab, forever on the run from the scientists Specs and Skinny. This Indian animated series of shorts, created by Vaibhav Kumaresh and produced by Vaibhav Studios for Cartoon Network India and Asia, was the first Indian show sold from a pitch bible to air globally. The episodes range from 18-second micro-shorts to three- or five-minute segments, with some seven-minute specials and three eleven-minute specials in Season 4. The scientists never manage to catch Lamput because he can shapeshift. Supporting characters include a yellow-skinned police officer with a mustache, a pink-skinned doctor, a light-blue-skinned citizen who works various jobs, the scientists’ gray-skinned boss, a white-skinned lady who has a crush on the officer, and a thief.

Lamput is a gooey, orange creature who has escaped the laboratory of two scientists, Specs and Skinny. The scientists try to catch Lamput but never succeed due to his shapeshifting ability. The series consists of shorts ranging from 18 seconds to 3 to 5 minutes, as well as some 7-minute specials and three 11-minute specials from Season 4. The first season featured 18-second micro-shorts, which were extended to 2 minutes for the second season. The third season consists of episodes ranging from 3 to 5 minutes, plus some 7-minute specials. On 20 April 2021, a crossover between Lamput and Chinese internet character Tuzki was announced, and a fourth season was confirmed to be in the works.

Lamput received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences. Cartoon Brew praised the show's animation as 'a fresh look for [it] with sharp animation timing and attractive design.' Polly Conway of Common Sense Media gave it three stars out of five, describing it as 'silly, but the funny slapstick shorts have some violence' and noting it abides by classic rules of slapstick in a Looney Tunes/Tom & Jerry way. The series airs on Cartoon Network in EMEA and Latin America, and has also aired on Boomerang worldwide. In the United States, it was added to HBO Max on 28 April 2022, began airing on Cartoon Network on 23 May 2022, had a brief run on Boomerang from 15 to 26 August 2022, and was later added to Hulu on 13 September 2024. Its global reach and wordless format make it notable as a silent animated series that transcends language barriers.
