Giza East Field
Cemetery east of the Great Pyramid with Khufu's family mastabas and Queen's pyramids.
The East Field lies east of the Great Pyramid and holds cemetery G 7000, which includes three Queen’s pyramids and many mastabas. George Andrew Reisner created a construction timeline for the area. The first two Queen’s pyramids, G 1a and G 1b, were probably begun around years 15–17 of Khufu’s rule. The cemetery’s earliest section had twelve double mastabas arranged in three rows of four. The rest of the field developed around a core of eight twin mastabas.
