The Dresden Monarchs are an American football team from Dresden, Germany. Founded in January 1992 by Ulrich Kramer, they entered the lowest possible regional league the following year and gradually worked their way up through the German league system. Since 2002 they have been a member of the first-tier German Football League (GFL), playing in its Northern Division, and in 2021 they became GFL champions after winning German Bowl XLII.
