Demiricous formed in Indianapolis, Indiana, with original members Nate Olp, Scott Wilson, Ben Parrish, and Christopher Cruz. In 2005, they self-released a demo that led to a contract with Metal Blade Records. Their debut album, One (Hellbound), was recorded and mixed at Planet-Z Studios with producer Zeuss in June 2005 and released on February 21, 2006. Following its release, the band toured with Himsa in late 2006 and reportedly earned the respect and praise of thrash metal band Slayer. Their second album, Two (Poverty), was released in 2007. The band is also featured on the bonus disc of Byzantine's Salvation DVD in a segment called 'Shoe Fight,' filmed in September 2006 while the two bands were on tour together.

In 2008, Scott Bronner (MercyKill, Legion) replaced Wilson, and Mike Morgan (Summon The Destroyer, Christ Beheaded) replaced Parrish. After a long hiatus, Wilson and Parrish returned, and the band recorded their third full-length album, III: Chaotic Lethal, which was released on May 13, 2022. On March 6, 2023, guitarist Scott Wilson, who was a high school classmate of Jared Fogle, appeared in the documentary Jared from Subway: Catching A Monster as himself.
