Night Verses
American rock band blending post-rock, metal, and art rock.
The group recorded the Out of the Sky EP with producer Kris Crummett at Interlaced Audio in Portland, Oregon.[1] It was offered as a free download from the band's website for the rest of the year.[1] After a charity show, Douglas Robinson, who had been the lead vocalist for the Sleeping, expressed interest in joining the instrumental trio, and following one practice session that same night, the group decided to incorporate him and started working on demos.[2] On May 25, 2012, the band independently issued an EP featuring four tracks whose total runtime is just under 19 minutes.[1]
Recording for the group's first full-length album began on January 5, 2013, at Interlace Audio with producer Kris Crummett.[3] A September 10, 2015, announcement from Night Verses confirmed both their signing to Equal Vision/Graphic Nature Records and the start of recording for their second LP with Ross Robinson.[4] The second LP, Into the Vanishing Light, hit shelves on July 8, 2016.[5]
