Plot

After escaping the dark planet, Riddick, Jack, and the Imam are taken aboard the mercenary ship Kublai Khan. Riddick tries to fool the crew by pretending to be William J. Johns over the radio, but they identify him through voice-printing. Captain Junner sends a team to capture him. Riddick triggers the fire suppression system, using the foam as cover to kill most of them, but surrenders when Junner holds Jack at gunpoint.

The captives learn their captors have strange intentions. They meet Antonia Chillingsworth, who preserves notorious criminals in suspended animation, alive but immobile, as both punishment and honor. She forces Riddick to fight for Jack and Imam’s lives in an arena against two Shrills, bioluminescent parasitic jellyfish-like creatures. Riddick kills them and removes an explosive Junner planted in his neck.

Chillingsworth detonates the explosive, which blasts an escape route. She then orders Junner to revive more mercenaries, including Toombs, and releases a dangerous carnivorous alien. Riddick sends Imam and Jack to the flight deck and uses his own blood to lure the alien into killing the pursuing mercs, with Toombs hiding in a pipe. Riddick then surprises and kills the alien.
